RM, do I chamfer both the front and the back of each of the lugs?

On the slide it'll be hard to do the back side. You just really need to do the side where the slide unlocks...

Sorry I can't explain myself properly. I mean do I chamfer both edges of the individual lugs on the chamber?

On your pic, the right edge of all the lugs should have some chamfer to it....The key is not make it too sharp that it'll catch the slide...

I thought chamfering meant to dull the sharp edge? How does chamfering create a sharper edge?

I phrased it wrong, what you said is right. The SD stock comes as a sharp edge. What you need to do is make it not sharp....

Q2: My hammer does not stay cocked back. When I fire, the nub on the blowback unit gets caught on the hammer. The only way I can move the slide forward again is if I manually depress the hammer that's caught under the slide. What happened and how do I fix this?
A2a: This is the most common mistake made by a beginner disassembling their pistol. If the lower half of the pistol was disassembled such that the leaf spring became unseated, it's possible that the leaf spring was not installed properly. Re-seat it. It is difficult to see it when the beavertail (grip) safety is in the way, but all prongs should be "behind" the associated component and pushing it "forward" (towards the muzzle.) See this photo for a properly seated leaf spring: http://www.pbase.com/illusive_airsof...2/original.jpg

It still looks exactly like the sear spring isn't seated properly... that's the most common cause.

Other causes can also be worn hammer hooks, damaged sear, damaged sear disconnector, or the inability of any of those items to move properly. You'll need to completely open it up to take a look if you are absolutely certain that the leaf spring is installed properly.

Again, clones aren't my specialty. Because no clone is ever a 100% clone, and their tolerances are worse than the original, I can not comment with any experience as to why this is doing what it's doing unless I have it in my hands. This is also the main reason why I generally don't deal with clones for any of my personal guns.

Like I said before, unless I have a look at the guts (take a video of the disassembly and reassembly if you have to), I can't figure it out for you.

no prob, i wil either figure it out, or just take it apart and use some of the parts on the new build.

the 5.1 should be here in a day or so, so i am almost ready to start building the fun one.

Yup, I figured it out via trial and error. Takes a long-ass time sometimes, but it makes the relieving-of-your-frustration so much more rewarding!

i have come to the conclusion that the gun has 3 problems with it, all of which require new parts, so i am going to NOT order the parts, and just use the parts i need for the fun one i am building. then, i will sell the good/non-broken parts to those in need.

The Airsoft Innovations GBB silicon oil says to "inject 2 drops for every 2 fills"... i hear that some ppl put 2 drops in their propane tank for every 4-6 mags... Which one is correct?
