Be careful gluing it in. One day you may need to remove the trigger group, so make sure you can still get it out afterwards.

I don't know how many of you are running AWSS M4/M16s out there, but I wanted to share a project that I'm working on.
In one of the links in the OP (The WE M4 Wiki) - in the Modifications section - there is an article for modifying the selector to only shoot SEMI. Here is the direct-link for the Semi-only mod. http://wem4guide.wikidot.com/modifyi...-for-semi-only How many of you out there with M4/M16s find this useful? I was immediately smitten by it, simply because I want to use one lower, and have multiple uppers to satisfy multiple needs (DMR, CQB, etc...). Here in Manitoba, the MAA has set regulations (which may have changed since I've last checked) on FPS allowing sniper rifles that shoot semi-only to achieve up to 470fps (or was it 490?) with .2g BBs. Now, I don't typically fire full-auto unless I'm running my LiPo-driven Troy M7A1, so the way I see it - I can have two uppers outfitted for two different purposes simply by modding my rifle to semi-auto only. My M16A3 upper shoots ~480fps w/.2g BBs as it is. I'm in the process of building a new CQB upper that I will tune to ~350fps to comply with local area rules. Has anyone tried this mod yet? Anyone willing to share their results? I'm definitely going to give it a try. I have a new selector on order, and as soon as it arrives - I'll let you guys know how it worked for me. |

M4 note.
I ordered a replacement M4 trigger group from Airsoft Buddy, and it doesn't include part 66, or its spring. I was also able to mod a WA Tango Down pistol grip to fit the WE. Requires a decent amount of dremmelling, but it fits. Lastly, the Daniel Defense Mk18 RIS II "grade A" version from Ebaybanned fits perfectly on WE uppers. The rail lined up spot on, and the supplied barrel nut is the appropriate length and thread spacing. Incase you are curious, the barrel nut is too short to fit my WA Clone Jing Gong/Golden Eagle M4. I have a complete summary of a bunch of GBB parts in a thread on GasGuns.info. If you want more details head on over and look in the WETI thread. Too detailed to repeat here. |
