ya see thats what happened to me, put a hundred mags thru and part 27 broke, when i made the new 27 and put it on to test it, get less than 30rnds thru it and bam completely destroyed part 66. so i have another one on the way and the programming begins...

Yeah, I bet if part 27 wasn't reinforced on my gun, It either wouldn't have broke 66 at all, or it would have broke 27 itself.

thats what my thought was, made 27 too strong all the force had to go somewhere and well 66 was the last available part. i think once that one is made aluminum then our problems should be solved i can't see where or what else could break. all the force doesnt have really anywhere else to go, it will be hitting something solid. should be problem solved.

I can see it breaking the screws that hold part 27 onto the receiver. But a trip to home depot can fit that. I also noticed the pin that holds part 66 onto the butt stock start to shimmy it's way upward. but that's no big deal either. I was thinking. How are you accepting payment for these parts?

My #27 just cracked 1/2 hr ago. It let go across the top bolt hole and 1/2 down the right side. Kind of ironic that #66 (the 4th one i've put on it) is holding it together now.lol. I'll take a set when there ready to go. FDE or black.

more than likely it will be thru paypal, not to sure yet. more worried about getting them produced first. as for the pin in the hinge in part 66, cant say ive had a problem, i had to use a dowel pin and hammer mine out so it was in there pretty tight, but then again i dont fold my stock often so that may be one reason. (not a real fan of folding stocks, like the collapsibles more)

Have you guys considered damping the force of impact on the buttplate, either with a silicone pad or the good old cut-out mousepad foam. Having a piece that's strong enough is great and all, and if I ever got a SCAR I'd buy a piece in a heartbeat, but it seems like that's only half the solution. With the force of impact in the SCAR, it's only a matter of time before the bolt breaks, or god forbid the lower receiver cracks in the back. It seems to me that addressing both issues would be the best way to deal with this.

as Ross said, the lower reciever just hooks in it takes no stress and does nothing other that release the bolt. the recoil as he said sends it straight back, the problem is that this shitty plastic they use, on all guns. the way it slides on the back of both recievers the little fingers or claws, are thin and well plastic, enough force upon them, or even any kind of sideways force would snap those off. heres a couple pics>>>

not to mention that most people are looking for a direct replacement part to go on their guns. now maybe later when i could get something to copy or design a part that would allow the conversion. might be a different story

It's not that I don't like the boot, I just like the option of changing out the stock. If I could get my hands on a real stock & hing plate without paying out the nose for it, thats what I would do.
