I saw it in the field last weekend. The field was a mix of desert sand and forest. Atac blended well in the forest and OK in the sand.

You can actually see the dude in full Atac in my headcam vid a 1min 05.

It's the communications flap. They're meant to store the cables for any communication systems that may be associated with the helmet.

You'll notice it actually has a pocket type thing going on.

Ah thanks, for a moment there, I thought I could use it as a google strap retention thingy..

Usually that's where the counter-balance would go if I'm not mistaken.

Looks like the stig beat me.

It's said that he injects himself with bb's so he is never out of ammo, but all we know is that he's the Eien.

OD for me too, just looks better to me. Just gotta see if they'll do 4" tapes or if they have them precut at 5"
