Anyone experimented with or use the red/gold low flow poppet valves? I'm considering picking up a red, combine it with a red or red+ nozzle, see how much I can tweak air efficiency.
Need to keep it around 1.7J. Possibly pick up the gold while I'm at it, just to cover my bases. Currently running a black nozzle at ~80 PSI which isn't too shabby, but would like to optimize this beastie further.

Its probably cheaper to buy the poppet spacers and play with those first.
I am running a red nozzle+stock poppet @40~60 PSI depending on what barrel im running, getting tons of shots per tank. The biggest problem i am running into with the low PSI right now is that I have the old 100-200 PSI rated noids so they don't like the low PSI very much. I have replaced one noid with the new 40-200 PSI noids, waiting for another one to get in stock. P* is fucking horrible at stocking parts.

Was looking at those, not exactly sure how they function? Simply reduce the spring travel, opening up the poppet less.. or..?

yeah pretty much.
They lower the amout of air that can flow through the poppet valve, which is what the red and gold valves do as well.

I'm running a red poppet with the red nozzle in mine right now. With a prommy 363mm barrel I'm at 80psi for 1.63 joules. I find my air efficentcy got a lot better vs the black or silver nozzle and I have a tighter grouping at range. Only downside is my rps is more limited then with the stock poppet but you can still get about 35-40 rps with some tweaking
Don't mind my bad photo, VFC base Dytac URX 3.1 13.5inch Spectre DR Element PEQ 15 and Surefire repo flashlight. New stock should be here this week to replace the ugly LE stock

$12 - http://www.ampedairsoft.com/product_p/ninjaufa2port.htm $15- http://www.ampedairsoft.com/product_p/flexi-line-6.htm Could even go cheaper than $15 on the connecting line as well, I have slip fits and 6mm solid line that I could use instead = free. And I already have superior wide bore flex line for my remote, dont need the coil :P Quote:

How do you prevent overshooting, when can actually kill your target before they can call the hits?

If I understand your question, then my answer would be to not be a douchebag and only use semi-auto.
Otherwise I think we should make a nationwide rule about RoF limits since people are going to be exploiting that more and more... Bitch if you like but there's REALLY no reason to shoot over 1500rpm in any situation, it's just making up for you being a really bad shot. And don't preach about trigger response since P*s have the highest trigger response of any gun out there lol |

I have run into this situation before.
I usually have my p* set to 25 rps with a 3~5 round burst, i once let off a bust at a guy around 200 feet away. I did not hear "hit" so i let off another burst. He then called hit.... Fuck im hit.I felt kinda like a duche, but after that i learnt that i should wait another second or 2 bofore letting off another burst. So to answer your question, use bursts and not just FA.

People have had this issue long before P* systems came into effect, just more so now since people have an easier time adjusting their RoF.
Trigger control.. simple as that! Same could be "argued" about FPS.
