There are kits to convert a M14 into a M1 Garand AEG

Allied, Thompson

AXIS, STG44 full metal, not expensive , ver 2 gearbox ( heavy though, and only hicaps available for mags)

When you said that you want a WW2 Allied and Axis camp...would they be the main base for the game?

Depends on how I can configure the field.. which depends on whether I get the adjoining fields to use

what I would like to do is have an AXIS rear area camp , safe goggles off area

and a Allied Rear area camp ,, safe goggles off

but both are still in game as in you would eat sleep and live in period and in game, so for example you commander could order you to get up gear up and get into the fight.

This would be a safe place for people to rest, eat and reload.. and then head back into the Forward "hot" areas of the field..

Then there would be a third camp for out of game camping .. and non period camping

that is my idea anyway.

thats what I thought...it would be neat

can we use field phones and period radios as well?

road in the forest? or small paths?

Are we trying to keep this as a NWE area?

When does every body want it to take place?
Days after D-Day or mid summer?

Another mission idea is...

The Germans have landed in Scotland where some Allied units are getting ready for DDay

After losing there radio in a river the Germans are un able to report the acual location of the invasion of Europe. The Germans are now pushing for a large BBC Radio Station to get there message out to Germany so they can stop the invasion.

Apparently there is a gas powered '03 coming out. Hopefully either the ICS or G&G Garand are available before this game. It'd be excellent to see some variety in regards to US weapons as opposed to just Thompsons or Grease Guns.

Those Marushin Garands aren't really game friendly.

Project is still plugging along.. tempo is reduced..

We have sufficient interest to move forward so this event will be happening

I suggest that everyone focus on Recruiting more members for their units.

and kicking up their impressions,

Also some investment in Camp Impressions would be good as well, we want to be able to establish both an ALLIED and AXIS historic Camp

To help out with Impressions ..

Hessen antique has a special on for Canadians, 15% off their order-- here are the details below.. Hessen is pretty much a one stop shop for AXIS kit...

so this is an excellent opportunity to make some good kit investment and save some money as well

details below

Right on. I was going to bump this to see where we were at with it. Looking into some flight prices based on a tent late April timeline.
