Ah. I can't really comment on that except to say that Captain KK is a sales rep.

I have a bunch on the way, with accurate markings, accurate serration style/location and it's a complete set with a V12 bull barrel... again, with accurate markings on the chamber.
The Shooters Design parts has several flaws with it that are not accurate to the real thing, and all of the parts are difficult to get a hold of. All of these issues spurred me to do a production run of this set, complete with the benefits of IK products. Hit me by PM for more details.

I said the same thing a few pages ago and was chastized for it. Let your SIGs be SIGs, and your 1911s be 1911s, and stop mixing the two.

yah you said it to me Tex,
thats the joke I'm pulling! lol. Colt 1911s spawned new slide designs on their frames for decades ie Wilson's. It's gun evolution, plastic lowers are crap, long live the single stack 1911s

Is the SIGiness on the GSR slide for functional reasons, or is it just to identify that particular 1911 as a SIG product, like design cues on a BMW or whatnot?

part of it is that, part of it I believe the "SIG" shape is lighter, as I read on some gun mag. I am sure more of it is just brand identity though....Aside from SIG I think only S&W Performance Center 1911 looks more different than the traditional 1911 shape.
SIG I believe also uses external extractor, which is more of a carry over from their other pistol. |

Hey it's done! I hope everything worked out alright in the end....
Thats a good looking 1911 right there...now you need to fit a steel outer barrel in there... |

Kidding, great grips courtesy of safx. I got them from him long before I even got the gun. How can you tell the difference between a steel barrel and the aluminum one? Do steel ones only come in the bull barrel style?
