AK-47 Drum Mag Help!
I just recently got an Aftermath Kraken and although I love the gun, The hi-cap magazine really irritates me. My hand was actually stiff and sore after a day of constantly winding the mag. Because of this i started looking at different mags. I wanted to be able to have large amounts of bb's at my disposable withought haveing to wind it up constantly and without having many spring fed mags. An auto fed frum mag looked like the right thing for me so I did research through airsoftcanada and other sites and it appears that drum mags for the AK aren't available in Canada. I've found 3 mags from US disributers that appear to be overall good mags.
http://www.hitguns.com/ProductDetail...-DRUM-MAG-3000 http://www.airgundepot.com/src-ak-47...-magazine.html http://www.airgundepot.com/echo-1-us...tyle-aegs.html Out of these mags, which one is better? And if there are any other drum mags that I've missed please let me know. Thanks |

Why not just use low-caps/mid-caps? no winding, no sounding like a bag of pennies. Plus at some games tossing a drum mag on your gun may class it is a S.A.W (or machine gun anyways) by some game organizers. Sorry to get a little off topic, just thought you might wanna be aware.

midcaps ftw, no tactical maracas lol nothing beats reloading in a firefight, it adds to the realism

this may boarder on flaming but don't take offence to it.
If your constantly winding a high cap... you need to aim more bud. I play with one high cap *broke after buying gear but will be going to lows or reals* and i normaly have to wind once per game. And I shoot black/white mix so I actually have to aim and not just paintball aim. If you through a drum mag on there alot of the hardcore players may turn there noses up at you. I know I get a bit of shunnage just for having a high cap lol. There are also auto winding high caps avaliable for teh AK, they do have fake bullets in them how ever, dunno if you could ask the company to remove them for you. |

if you look on ebaybanned they have the auto winding mag for the ak47, but like I said prob is they have the fake bullets. If you could find a canadian retailer to import them for you that would be your best bet.
If your gonna put drum mags on you should go all out and do a RPD or RPK conversion. The first of the two would be interesting as it would be alot of body work, RPD is a more square with different grips/butt. The RPK is a ak47 with longer barrel and different grips/butt dunno what would be involved with turning your kraken into it. edit. Found the link to those magshere |

yah they can not be imported. I wonder though if you called the seller and asked them to remove the bullets... dunno how easy that would be, or if they would even speak english on the other end of the phone.
