If you're looking for AUG pouches hit up SORD and Plat-A-Tac. They do full on rigs and seperate PALS MOLLE pouches.

well i looked at the CA and TM aug mainly because as soo as i saw the price for the JG i thought bad manufacturing cause its so cheap, the TM is nice but i was worried about the body not being able to take somewhat of a beating, as for the CA it looks tough and was made out of a fiber glass type material. now you mentioned the rattle of the mags? well i'm getting myself some 80round lo-cap no more rattle of unspent bb's. as for the motor being loud, you said there was a fix, how do i go about doing that?

for the noise, you can stuff foam in the stock, accessing from the butt, around the mechbox.

if you ever need to take your AUG apart, here are things you need to know:

-always remove the magazine before removing the handle/barrel unit
(failing to do so will endanger the hop up, and also result in a bb shower inside the body if the mag is full)

-always remove the handle/barrel unit when removing the mechbox.Failing to do so might result in a broken internal nozzle on the cylinder head.

-the taking in and out of the mechbox is greatly improved by filing or removing the two plastic lips inside the stock, around the mechbox's butt, on which the internal buttplate rests.

-the port covers are affixed to the gearbox, be carfeul not to destroy them when removing the gearbox.

okay crunch time the money is slowly pouring into my get a gun fund and I'm looking at the reviews and I'm torn it looks like a good gun, sounds like a good buy and that it is a decent piece of equipment but after reading and reading and reading :banghead: it seems to have alot of problems and for a noobie to this i don't think it'll be a good buy for me

Second the Plat-attack if you want good aug mag kit. I had a complete rig looks nice, but decided with a issue SAAV.

The Aug is a great gun, you will out distance most guns on the field unless they are dedicated snipers. Plus if you like Aus kit they look bad ass!

taking apart the aug is a pain staking task and alot of things can break with the slightest misuse of force, i don't want to break my gun after the first time i take it apart, i'm stuck a CA Aug A2 or a KWA M4S...... BAH TOO MANY CHOICES !
the gun seems to drop down in FPS after a few months of use

Nope, easiest gun ever to take apart.

Both false. I bang my AUG around and it's still fine after 1.5 years and I got it used.

you won't have body issue, take a TM.
do not take a CA just for the body (CA bodies are really awesome though )

there are things to know but other guns are way tougher to take apart.
if you're afraid just leave it stock until you know it well.

I would imagine it would be fairly similar to removing the gearbox out of a TM Aug.

I've read on numerous forums how to take the gearbox out...and even on mechbox.com they advise to set up a thick book on a table, and after removing the rear plate, BANG the shit out of the stock, until the mechbox pops out.

I'll comment here as i did there...At least with the JG, there are 3 bolts running through the stock, including the one that runs through the mag release tab....simply by unscrewing those, you can crack open the stock enough that the mechbox easily slides out. Easily, as in, no banging, or potentially damaging your gun. It pops back in just as easily, after which, throw the nuts back on the bolts and screw them back up tight. It separates at the bottom of the stock anyway, the top of the stock along with most of the gun's body is fused/glued together, and isn't designed/needed to be taken apart. It pops back in just as easily, after which, throw the nuts back on the bolts and screw them back up tight.

If those screws don't exist on TM's or CA, then I say HA to you. I've had my JG for a couple months now, LOVE IT, bought it on ASC from someone who won it and didn't want anything to do with an AUG. Looking at pics from last years boarder wars is might even have been that very JG AUG on the prize table lol...I should ask him.

Further comments - it chrono'd 335 out of the box (.20s) shoots accurately (enough that with a 3X scope, i'm getting scope kills every game, and this is with a pure stock set-up, and even b4 i completely figured out the hop-up),

The gearbox noise is hardly going to deafen you but the previous statement was correct, it is right under your ear.

Issues I've read about and can agree with, are the front handle, since it allows itself to fold up or down it does wobble a bit - I couldn't care less, its still solid to use and won't go anywhere but a half a millimeter back and forth...the other thing would be the outer barrel doesn't like to get bashed into things, apparently it's brittle and can crack/break...no firsthand experience, but i keep it in mind. What DOES like to get bashed against walls/the ground though.

Battery compartment is stingy. But I'm taking measurments, and look fwd to hacking up large battery packs and re-configuring the pack with a hump, because It'll fit. I will make it. And I'll make them for others if they'd like high mAh custom AUG batteries

If you havn't noticed, I love my AUG. Wouldn't trade it for a generic M-anything, anyday.
