Orange Tip Removal CA P90 Sportline.

I think this sucker is glued in real nice so any tips on removing the orange flashider? Tried taking it off by hand and with pliers which is why I think its glued in, thing wont' budge and I don't wanna put more force on it then I already tried, afraid I'll bust it up.

i had trouble with my echo 1 as well. If you have access to a heat gun or a really hot hair dryer it softens up the glue and makes it easier to take off. Also make sure you're screwing it the right way.

I checked the manual, its CW according to the diagram to remove. But the thing just won't budge going either directions. Will try the hair dryer, hopefully by this weekend. I was also told rubbing alcohol might work though it will discolor any other plastic near it.

i suppose the barrel is metal... then you can just take a propane torch and heat up this sucker till it soften up, then take pliers and ripp it off, i recommend doing this outside because of the burning plastic fumes did that to remove a kracken's orange tip and it worked like a charm!

If it's plastic you should be able to rip it off without damaging the metal threads.

Is there a set screw in the flashhider?

Dont forget to check for a grub screw.
Failing that use a little more force.

Plan B: bash it off with a rock.

There is simply nothing holding the flash hider in, no screws of any sort that I can make out which was why I'm thinking it was glued on. Thanks for all the suggestions, will try ripping it off in pieces but failing that, I will try the hot blow dryer. Will consider the torch as a last resort next to the big rock, I have a creme brulee torch which "should" be less damaging.

I had a sportline p90 yea they glue that thing on really tight I ended up breaking the orange plastic flashhider and takeing it off a piece at a time.. the barrel is metal so don't worry about wreacking the threads to much

I ended up breaking out the drill, peeled it off to the very end till it was just a 2cm wide, .8cm thick orange ring. That bugger fought me and ended up breaking the drill piece, which thankfully I got for free. Its off...thanks all!

Well that was what I did but the very end of the flash hider was on there real good so thats when I pulled out my drill. Ended up snapping my drill set but it finally did give way. I think that orange tip was like molded on, it really fought me.
