M4s
Cliche, yeah I know. Its the M4.
I think it will be my first Airsoft gun. I have a model in mind G&P Special Operations. I havent got an age verification but could someone let me know if this is easy or hard to get and what the price range is. Can someone suggest another decent M4, that doesnt come from G&G or TM; not interested. Can't afford Systema |

King Arms is nice, but a lot of money.
For a brand-new, high-quality full metal AEG (like G&P, or King Arms), you are looking in the $650+ range. Brand new TM a bit less ($550+, except the new SOPMOD M4's, which are CONSIDERSABLY more expensive, and assuming you can find someone who has one). Any full metal or black plastic gun will come at a premium, and are difficult (not impossible) to get ahold of. If you don't have age verification, your chances of getting your hands on a non-clear AEG is pretty slim. Used, both can be had for a little less ($100-$200 less, dependant on condition/model/upgrades/accessories) on these forums. Keep in mind this is ONLY for the gun. You will need batteries ($50+ each) and a charger ($35-$200, dependant of features), as well as multiple additional mags ($15-50 each, dependent on size, maker, quality, etc).

I personally have a KWA M4 and I absolutely love it. It's on the Higher end of the non-Systema M4's both in price and Quality. I think I paid around $550ish for it new. Battery wise, I recommend LiPo but with some guns you'll have to upgrade some of the gearbox parts to be able to handle the higher outputs of the battery. That's a big reason I got the KWA was it's beefy enough to handle LiPo right out of the box. That being said I've heard good things about the G&P's and the King Arms. There is also the less expensive and common route that people take and that is the JG brand. I've heard good and bad reviews of them but mostly good and around the $250-350ish mark you can't really go wrong, especially as a starter gun.

Have you already PM'ed someone for Age Verification?
It can sometimes take a while for them to get back to you and meet when it's a good time for both of you. I think it took about 2 weeks total to find a time that we could both meet and then another 4-5 days for verification. As for M4's, although cliche, it's actually a good choice because of the replacement parts and gundocs who know the gun very well. I actually have one. I have an unbranded one (got it in a classified sale). It was a pretty good deal actually, about $450 (gun+ 1 battery). If you're wanting to go higher end but not PTW then G&P, and KA are probably what you should be looking at. I've seen these go for about $650-850 depending on the package (mags, battery, charger, etc).
