AI Tornado - Bottom Cap Blowing Off
So my Tornado recently began blowing the bottom cap off on detonation, instead of "exploding" the bb's.
I changed the o-ring on the cap to the replacement AI sent me, but the problem continues to happen. I fear the threads may be torn or something. Has anyone had this problem. Or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks |

Most likely the threads are damaged. They are only plastic. Metal threads on grenade vs plastic threads on endcap = bad if you're not careful.

Try using teflon tape.

I don't think teflon tape will fix ruined threads!

You can buy a new bottom cap from Carl.
EDIT: Correction, I guess you can't. Contact Carl (MadMax about it). You can probably either buy one directly, or he'll give you one. |

He's probably just very busy, or perhaps out of country (I wouldn't know for sure). He's always come thru in the past, is what I'm saying.

Can you get a clear picture of the threading on both the grenade shell and the bottom cap?

I did reply to the PM today. As to emailing ai.com, tech requests should go to tech@gungas.com where my staff can help me with tech support.
