KWA G17 problem
So I got a KWA G17 a couple months ago and haven't gamed it yet, just target practice in my house. So the other day I take it out of it's box and load up the mag and dry fire about 4-5 shots to empty the small amount of gas left in the mag. After the last shot the gun starts firing full auto non-stop untill it runs out of gas, without me holding down the trigger at all.
Afterwards, the slide was stuck forward. I racked it back in an attempt to field strip the gun and now the slide is stuck open! The guide rod is also pointing at an angle downwards and nothing wants to budge. Any help? Any ideas? Keep in mind this is a very new gun from AAsurplus. Thanks! |

Update. It turns out the recoil spring got bumped out of place and that's what was keeping the slide all jammed up. I pulled on the recoil rod with my leatherman pliers and then rotated it a few times which got it properly seated again allowing me to remove the slide.
So that part is done with. NOW, I load up a mag to test fire the GBB and after one trigger pull the gun fires full auto non-stop untill the gas is depleted and the recoil rod/spring gets misaligned again just like before. Did I just get a lemon? ASC doesn't seem to have too many horror stories wrt the KWA G17.... Anyway help is appreciated. Thanks again. |

Seems like the hammer isn't staying cocked back after every shot, and is just going partially down then back up and hitting the gas valve when the slide goes forward again.

Bump. This gun is still problematic. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm hoping it's just the seal in the mag or something, but I only have one mag to test with.
edit- Yeah, I checked out the issue of the hammer hitting the gas valve. It seems perfectly fine, I don't think that is the problem. Thanks though. Last edited by rc_p120; April 26th, 2008 at 02:31.. |

There are solutions posted in Doctor's corner, you just have to look for them.
I have a KSC G17 with similar issues, so there could be a couple of possible issues with your pistol. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...ighlight=glock http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...ght=glock+sear http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...auto+ksc+glock Try the following threads.... your best bet would be the last thread, but it could be a combination of these threads. Laters.
