USP Recoil Spring

Which recoil spring should I use in a KSC USP with a metal slide and inner barrel?

With the stock recoil spring the gun doesn't cycle completely.

just get a 150% recoil spring. I think Juggelz has them.

I love those, have em in both USPs, i found they kick a bit harder than the SD ones.

Speaking of install...I got a set of springs, and although I figured out where to put two out of three of them, I'm still figuring out where the third one goes. It's the long thin one that looks like it should go into the magwell...just can't figure out how to get the stock one out. any help?

Want a laugh? I cut and installed a stock TM AEG spring and installed it as a recoil spring in my KSC MK23, works great so far. Then again, it requires a large diameter spring anyways, not that I'm recommending this for your USP, just brought it up because the USP is generally considered to be a compact MK23.

if it's the hammer spring, what you'll need to do is to knock out the pin that holds the laniard loop into the base of the gun. pull the laniard loop and the locking mechanism out of the bottom, and the spring should fall out nicely. just string it back onto the rod looking bit, and put the whole shebang back together.

trying that...now.

*edit*
Perfect! Thanks a million! Wow...trigger pull is WAY heavier now...almost makes the safety effective.

Mk23 is a pretty big gun, then...the USP isn't exactly a derringer, especially not the fullsize (which is what I have)...and I think that they're similar pistols, right? They're both HK and they sure as hell LOOK almost the same...*investigates*

*edit*

Yupp, essentially the same gun. Mk23 is the biggest member of the family, followed by the fullsize and then the tactical and compact.

Ya, one I have came with the dual spring recoil spring assembly, I've been playing around with various way to set it up by either reassembling parts or trying out different springs. Currently I have that previously mentioned stock AEG spring, same diameter as the stock spring but thicker wire. Is the only reason I decided to try it out.
