Canadian kit.....scarf?

I just aqquired a really big olive colored scarf from a freind of mine. She said she got it while attending Army cadets.
This thing is BIG...about 6 feet long, 2 feet wide. Made of really thin stretchy cotton material. Apparently it came with instructions, on how do use it as a headwrap, tournequet, sling, splint....etc.

Has anybody else ever seen these things around? I'd like to get another.

Think shemagh...but bigger and all one color.

Standard issue "combat Scarf" most surplus shops will have them... likely one of the most important pieces of kit you can have for maintaining personal comfort and effectivness in the field.

I have one as well, Just a CF issue scarf as far as I know. Bought it at JT's surplus in Ottawa for $8. Was great for the winter.

If you were in the Army you'd tear it in two, then turn each in as tattered to 2 different supply clerks.

That also works for many other pieces of kit as long as you don't get greedy.
