Red Wine & Adderall
|
Ive got a question that is partially related to the situation.
Even though its not wise to directly discharge a nimh battery. What about putting it out in the cold or in a fridge? Im sure the cold would sap out the energy and then letting the pack warm up again before charging. Place it back in the cold to sap the power and charge it again, repeat a few times. Sort of like a ghetto reconditioning. Now I know it sounds like a dumb question, but in all honesty Im not an electritian so I dont really know.

I'm not entirely sure it would actually dispose of the power stored in the battery. I think it would only reduce the batteries ability to push it out. Once it warmed up again, I suspect most of the batteries capacity would return.
I should chuck my Ni-cd in the freezer for a few hours and let it warm up again to see. Someone else should do this with a ni-mh to see if the cold effects different types in a different way.
