Prometheus m110 spring will not cycle
My gun is CA8-2 [g36 variant]
I installed a m110 spring and currently using tenergy 8.4v 1400mah battery. Also it has systema bearing spring guide and pom piston head with deep fire piston. When I pull the trigger I hear the gears pull the piston but the gun does not fire and gets stuck. What could be the problem? I thought 8.4v was enough to pull a m110... I used to have a madbull m120 which also had cycling problems so I had to cut a few rings off to make it cycle. I thought switching to lower power spring would fix the problem but apparently that's not the case... |

Are your gears shimmed properly? An 8.4v battery should have zero problems pulling an M110, and it should even be able to cycle an M120.
The only thing that would hold it back is primarily poor shimming, followed by an old/dead motor. ... That's assuming your battery is properly charged. Also make sure that the tighter coils are towards the spring guide. |

I will check the shimming again but I've shimmed the gears using guides available in the internet making sure to check for contact points and spacing. I do hear the motor pulling the cylinder to a certain distance. It just gets stuck at some point. The spring is oriented correctly and the battery is fully charged.
What puzzles me is that the cut madbull m120 spring and stock spring both work fine. The madbull spring is significantly firmer than prometheus m110, and despite the cut rings the gun still fires at 360~380 range... Only thing I can think of is the extra length of the aftermarket springs is preventing the cylinder from pulled back completely due to both ball bearing spring guide and piston head, but I have found no problems like this in the internet with any CA g36 variant or with either prometheus and madbull springs. Splashx, I'm not quite sure what you mean. I'd hate to shell out cash to buy another motor.. :< Last edited by lokisama; November 20th, 2007 at 18:24.. |

do the gears spin freely with the mechbox closed? shim guides aren't accurate for each and every individual mechbox

Try a different battery. By different I mean a better one.
