Systema v3 cylinder head won't fit my CA8-2

I was planning to install the systema cylinder head and the systema silicon POM head like the one here in my CA8-2
http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...il?prodID=8415

Problem is I can't for the life of me to get the systema cylinder head to fit in the CA8-2 gearbox. The box won't shut flush. Both are metal but the systema one seems to have a smoother curve in the inside surface.

So now the POM head is installed with the stock metal cylinder head that CA8-2 came with. But I hear the cylinder head and the piston head needs to match.

Is this a problem? If so how can I properly install systema cylinder head.

Any help would be very appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, the G36 series of AEGs requires a special V3 cylinder head like the AUG, it is a bit longer. That may explain why your current regular V3 cylinder head does not fit.

Also, using the systema piston head with the stock cylinder/cylinder head combo should be fine so long as there isn't any air leakage (which there shouldn't be).

No that's not the point (aug and ak V3 cylinderhead have same measurements except the nozzle pipe).

This is a lesson most CA owners only learn the hard way: Classic Army V3 gearbox shells have different measurements in the front area. Aftermarket cylinder heads (including reinforced CA one) will NOT fit without modifications.

You can modify the aftermarket part to fit (much work), use the stock cylinder head (may not seal very well) or get another V3 gearbox shell which is not Classic Army.

It took me about 20 minutes of dremelling to install Guarder V3 cylinder head in AK box. It's not that hard. I removed some metal from the front of cylinder head and a bit on the sides.
P.S Couple of people told me that V2 head will fit CA box but I haven't tried it myself. Also, stock TM cylinder head fits just fine. At least in my mechbox.
