System gearset in a G&P gearbox.
I have been working in my first G&P gearbox and I was wondering if I can use a set of Systema Torque up gearset in there
The rest of the internals are all G&P. Thanks a lot for looking.

The only thing that might be different is the GnP bearings seem to have a smaller inner diameter then the rest of the gears i've used.

Just shim it right and you shouldn't have any such problems

Have you tried Prometheus gears before. I think that they're better designed than Systema.
I'm using the super torque up gear set for the Systema and the triple torque for the Prometheus. On the Systema bevel gear, there is only 2 stops for the anti-reverse latch to catch on. While the Prometheus has 5 stops(I think there's 5). I had misfeedings with the Systema and once I switched over to Prometheus, the misfeedings were gone.

I agree with Bruce. I also think Prometheus gears are better than Systema gears. They have faster single-shot trigger response time, better finishing and come with shims at only a couple of dollars more.
(yes, there's 5 stops) |

Thanks guys, I'm certain the owner of the gun will take it into consideration when ordering the parts. I think I will give 'em a try. If ti works for both of you guys, I'm certain it's a good choice for that owner as well.
Illusion: You wouldn't happen to be carrying a set do you?

Alternatively, I have an order going out and can order up a new set if required. I should have it in about 3 weeks. Let me know by PM |
