KJ M9 Full Metal - Slide won't return completely forward

I just got a new KJ M9, and I noticed that if I leave the mag inside, pull the slide back, and release it, it will return to about 3mm from the original position. You can see that the back sticks out just a little. If I then remove the mag it will pop back into place. It doesn't do this if I pull the slide without the mag. Any suggestions?

Hmm are you sure the mag is correctly inserted? And not to much in or something? Is it the original mag?

your slide return spring is weak, doesnt have the power to pull a bb out of the mag?

Orrrrrrr your gbb's piston is jammed forward (its happened on my hi-capa) remove the slide & check if its retracting all the way....
