AUG fell on its butt.how would you repair that?
Heya all,
after an experience of TM AUG performances during short airborne trips (it fell on its butt) - the screws that hold the mechbox at the rear of my AUG are destroyed. the little metal squares with the filet are gone, and the plastic around it has exploded. after a few attemps to repair that, the whole thing is still broken and looks like a mess. (pics coming soon) My idea was to use some kind of paste material to hold some hexagonal nut instead of the plastic squares to be able to use some screws to hold the inner butt plate. question: which material ? something I could put a good amount of, that I could shape somehow, that would dry and become extra hard. I've tried to search the forum but I can't find a good keyword for that Anyway thanks for your help. jimksi |

i would recommend filling with an epoxy and then re-tapping with larger thread screws, or just heat a screw up thats larger bore and screw it in. all essential materials and tools found at your local hardware store for about $5~$15
