Are the stardard ratio ones helical? Chinese websites list the standard ratio as torque, right?
I've been outa this sport too long.

unless it says otherwise, assume it isn't helical.

I'm not seeing any difference between helical/non helical on any site I've been on, and I know I've seen people talk about helical prometheus gears.
UPDATE: After much searching, I'm pretty sure the 'torque' gears are standard ratio. Now someone please comfirm the helicalness of them pl0x

Nope they are not Helical. The helical ones are Double Torque Up, Triple Torque Up and MAX.

And helical gears whine more than most airsofter's 'female companion' when you mention "Full weekend game"!!!

Damn >_>
@Stalker I have been under the impression for a long time now that helical gears are quieter than regular ones. Someone please clarify

there is also standard ratio and high speed ratio for helical gears made by Systema, they sell them on UNCompany and RedWolf Airsoft in complete kits and the gears only too...

In theory since Heli gears have more contact surface for each teeth, it would be better...
Never tested any, so this is only my theory. |

promehteus HS gears are ordinary teeth
to are thier torque gears (which have ordinary gearing) thier doubble and trippel torque are ALL HELICAL thier Max torque gears are HELICIAL. and need a piston with only half teeth. the ALL HELICAl Gears are more fragile than the ordinary teeth, if you jam a bb and the gears strike the piston in the middel there is a larger chance that the gears will strip. |
