well I don't know of any pre-made back plate that would give you the pin hole for the G36 stock. But there is the UMP style stock.

Unless you were thinking of going with the G36 folding battery stock. The above would get you a very similar look to what you were thinkin.

Doesn't the MP5 PDW stock fold? I would think that would be a bit easier to mount on an mp5?

It does fold, but looks a lot different (and is longer than I'd like, then again my main MP5 has an M4 slither stock on it and I'm used to it). My spare MP5 has the PDW style stock, but it's the stock from an MP5 RIS so it's slightly different, more so because it has the proper mounting cap for the MP5 itself.

the one I have pictured is made FOR the MP5 so it'd slide on like any other stock.

it is possible but it would be worth it at all, the MP5 has one push pin to hold in the stock whereas the G3 has 2 pins, you can see it in photos of both guns.
any particular reason why you want a G3 stock on an MP5? there may be an alternative to what you need.

Are you talking about a G3 solid stock or G3 slither stock?

They are almost the same anyway...or is it because you have a G3 stock and want to try to fit it onto your preexisting MP5?

As far as I know the mounting bolt pattern is completely different, you'll have to jerry rig it if that will even work. Could be wrong, never compared them side by side since I've never had both a G3 and MP5 at the same time.

the hk93 or hk33 uses one pin to hold the stock on like the mp5. a CA33 stock might be a better fit. The mp5 stock is all plastic and has overmolded lips the slide over the back where the g3/33 both have metal caps which have the plastic stocks screwed screwed on from the inside. This might not mater if the g3 stock comes with pins because your old pin might be too long. This is irrelavent to the discusion but if it ever becomes a question, CA and TM G3 stocks are not compatible without modification.
