If you leave it stock, it will last longer. If you start upgrading it, it will cost you more than a decent Marui (or other brand) by the time you are done and you never will be happy.
We're trying to save you money and grief. |

hehe, you must be so bored of noob like me that ask some question that (for older player) seems stupid. For me, dismounting and rebuilding things is as fun as using them. i whould not be surprised that in 3 or 4 years, ill be in the gun doc section helping others fix their things.

Yes, in 3 or 4 years, i dont see why not either. But until then, you are still learning about a lot of things including the costs and laws. Please listen to the advice given, we dont do this just to piss you off but to save you from getting into shit or being frustrated.

+1!
I love tinkering with stuff as well, but there's a big difference between tinkering/modding stuff, and continuously repairing it because it's broken again. Tinkering and tweaking my TOP M249 to get it just the way I wanted nearly drove me nuts. Once it was finished, I was quite happy. Then it broke...

Captain Awesome

i found the same thing with my academy l85. i was trying to make it awesome (had famas box & motor in it, m16 barrel and hopup) but had a hell of a time with reliability... and the body sucked dick lol.
the more you upgrade the less reliable it becomes. stock is best, lighty upgraded (spring, bushings, piston) is good, ftk your on your own. as for your question naerah, if you want an xm8, just get a v3 mechbox and g36 barrel assy (skeleton) and get a gws kit or get the new src xm8, it has all the newest features (well iron sights and an already intergrated scope) but still has the b&e quality body. |

looking on some US site the prices of jin gon(i never spell the name correctly) guns seems to be almost the same as the BE xm8. well i'll have to wait till the 23th to know for how much they go for.
