What is the best way to saw down my tm m4a1 barrel to make it commando length?

Buy a new one. If you cut it, you won't have any threads on it.

yeah, no simple saw fix now that the M4 barrels are solid. much easier to just buy a new one.

If you have an original M4A1 outer barrel just cut down the middle 'tube' to the desired length. Fitting your triangle sight will require some bodge work but nothing all that hard. The easy fix is of corse buying a shorty outer barrel.
