Metalbody Upraged question for M4A1

I'm strongly considering a Guarder new type c8 metal body for my TM M4A1. I did a quick Goggle search for info on installing it. I found the link to the Intruder website that shows how to install it. This will be my first metal body install. Questions are as follows:

Apart from the stuff that comes with the metal body, is there anything else I need?

From the pictures it looks fairly straight forward for the install, is this true, what kinds of problems are to be expected?

Any other info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Im not impressed with the gaurder new gen metal receivers. They look great, but the installation is a real bitch. Required alot of time with the file.

unless you are specifically going after a type of metal body, Id say ask about the G&P metal recievers. They install like a breeze.

My apologies, I was typing way to fast and my space bar is all buggered up. Guess it’s time for a new keyboard. OP was edited for spelling.

I'm main reason is because they make the C8 body, that that isn't totaly crucial, if G&P is easier then I may go with one of them. How do you install the G&P receivers? Is pretty much teh reverse of removing the Marui one?

Just finished dealing with a Guarder C8 body. Never want to deal with one again. If you do end up getting it, some advice - follow the instructions step by step and in order.

Not a bad thread. The new version of Guarder M16/M4 series metal receiver doesnt have the same problem with the first batch. I got mine awhile ago and my gearboxes(TM, ProGear and Hurricane) fits just like a glove. No filing needed. Looks like Guarder fixed their flaws in their first batch.

My biggest problem with the Guarder bodies I've installed is the mag well clearances. Most bodies the mags slip in and out really nicely. Guarders are too tight, and you really have to force the mag into the well and actually pull it out, instead of it dropping out. Anyone else have this problem? Hopefully they'll wear in with time.

But I have to say, installation wasn't too bad with the new version (installed one last week). The first version was a bit of a biotch though.

I had a similar issue with my C8 metal body new type from Guarder. However a little sanding with a metal file fixed that. It also depends on what type of mags you have. Some are slightly larger than other metal mags.
