tighter grouping = shots are closing together... although the "downside" of the nine ball 6.03mm straight tightbore is that it will "arc" with the hop up action

the tanio koba inner barrels fly extremely straight and flat with little to no arc in its path. Which is what makes it predictable. Just point it on target and fire. No need to rise up or down to compensate for the arc unless you're going for the extreme ends of it's effective range.

I have no tests to prove which barrel has a longer effective range - I just know that I can hit targets 150 feet away no problem with either barrel.

Thanks for helping me out ILLusion,
150 ft kills are impressive with a pistol.
I think I'll get the tanio koba barrel then, just because the freedom art rail and compensator kit that comes with it looks so cool.

Oh Man! That's a sweet gun.
The hybrid slide with the ported barrel is an awesome combo.

Umm.... it *use* to be a TM HI-Capa 5.1...

Almost the entire gun is made up of aftermarket parts. MOST of that gun is no longer stock Tokyo Marui. Off the top of my head, I can only think of a couple screws, the disconnect lever, trigger reset, a couple of springs inside, trigger bar, trigger pin, grip safety... other than that everything is aftermarket. When I get the time, I'll do a proper photo shoot of it.

The aluminum hybrid slide, Steel hybrid outer barrel, and steel Hybrid chamber I have all for sale in my sales thread in all silver - they're almost impossible to find even in Hong Kong now and I picked up the last two sets of them that I could find.

The Freedom Art Long Railed Frame with Comp for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 kit looks like this
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...ACC-HC51LRWCBK

They also have several very similar frame kits for the Hi-Capa 4.3... obviously, it's almost an inch shorter.

The extended compensator is also tough to find, but finding the one-touch joint to attach it to the Freedom Art frame compensator is even harder. I searched for a year before I found it.
The one-touch joint and the extra compensator are both made by Tanio Koba and is what allows me to fit the massive 7" inner barrel in this bad boy.

This is what the first incarnation of this gun looked like without that extended compensator and had just the extended rail frame with compensator:

If the compensators aren't your thing at all, you can get just extended mid-frames which I also have for sale in black colour. I'm trying to get rid of them, so if you're interested, let me know and we can negotiate a price:

The frame ends at the end of the slide's muzzle to give an appearance like this:

I like the look of the compensator with the rail. Although the extended compensator is not really my thing.
145 for a rail and a comp is a lot though... I hope the 6" twist barrel gives me some performance boost to make it worth my money...

it will. although if all you want is a performance boost, i recommend just going with the regular 5" inner barrel.

The benefit of the extended midframe kit with compensator is that the compensator holds the inner barrel straight and the rail is centred and locked to the midframe to make sure any lasers you have attached to it are perfectly straight. It also helps guide your slide along the whole frame. Other than that, it's mostly for looks.

As a forewarning, all of those midframes require careful work to get them to fit right. Most of the modifications need to be made to the panel that encases the firing assembly. All of the midframes I've worked on sit a bit too high at the final left rail and need to be lowered.

Oooh,
Thanks for the headsup iLLusion.
Actually if that's the case, I'm not gonna buy that kit anymore. I'm just deathly afraid of filing, drilling, ... irreversible changes in general.
Have you checked out the PDI 7" barrel plus silencer adapter on redwolf? That sounds to me like the easiest and economical upgrade out there.
