because a solenoid doesn't have the power
a spring will decompress extremely quickly, and it doesn't care how long it took to compress it

if the solenoid doesn't have the power to shoot the bb then it doesn't have the power to compress the spring.

Work in equals work out.

I'd say you made a mistake and now you're trying to cover it up.
