TM M4 S-system and metal bodies

I'm thinking of grabbing an M4 S-system as the base for a project gun, I'm a big fan of the SIR look. I was just wondering if anybody has any knowledge of metal body issues that appear because of the SIR, this is the only arcticle I could find on it:

In the first impressions section he says, "The stock plastic receiver looks more realistic than the only metal body available for the S-System, the Zeke aluminum clamshell M4 body."

Any thoughts?

sounds like someone is getting high off their gun. I have seen the s-system before and its reciever looks no better then any other plastic reciever...and by that, they look no-where near as good as metal recievers.

IMHO, its a gun Ill never go near. Im a guy that will never buy a plastic armalite again. I find its ugly. really ugly. but thats just me.

I can understand wanting to avoid plastic amalites, that's why I want to jam a metal body on the m4 s-system. I'm not concerned with how the plastic looks (I'll just dump that), but the comment that there's only one metal body that will work with the S-system (I dunno, maybe something to do with the long top rail).

I'm just wondering if anybody has ever put a metal body on one of these other than the ZEKE one mentioned in the quote.

im not sure, but i heard someone say a metal reciever needs to be heavily modified to fit the SIR...but dont quote me on that.

The M4 S-System's rail system attaches to the body in a very specific way. You need to get a specific metal body... I think there are two or three different ones on the market right now. If it were my decision, I'd get a CA or a G&P, and get a Samurai SIR. (http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...tm=SAM-ACC-SIR) A teammate has one on an ICS M4, it looks spectacular and it's tough as nails, tougher than the TM one in my opinion.
