if i only need to replace the spring, is it still as difficult as it seems? Would I need lube or anything like that?

Leave it stock, the CA33 is plenty powerful.

Actual Video

If this gearbox is a version 2 gearbox... go to this site http://www.21stcenturyairsoft.com/ver2ca.php this shows a person changing a spring for a CA mechbox (version 2). But it should give you a pretty clear idea on how to change the spring.

Cool, thanks, doesnt seem too bad, until the end part where he has to realign the bushings with the gears? Also, do I need a "punch" or could I use a pencil or something? Is getting to the gearbox easy?

If you bought the CA33 new, it comes with a manual including complete disassembly instructions.
