Name that movie weapon: Split Second (1992: Rutger Hauer)

I was thinking of some old movies that had an impact in my life for my gun fetish and remember the Rutger Hauer movie Split Second. Anyone remember that movie and the weapon they use to destroy the kitchen trying to kill the rat?

Looks like a hand held mini-gun (vulcan canon), fires crazy fast.

Is it real, any links online?

Not this one but smaller -->

GE or Genral Electric makes a lot of the gatling guns out there, above link is to one result when i googled GE Gatling guns. Hope it helps!

Actually it's not a true minigun in the movie. It looks like they took the front of a very small minigun (~4-5" diameter) and added it to a hand held rifle. Imagine someone mated a MP5 with a mini-gun.

Still looking for pics.

The picture I added was a Jesse Ventura action figure hauling a gatling from the movie Predator. Not the same gun in the movie Split Second.

I think I know what type of gun you are refering to. I have a video of that gun in airsoft version. It's very similar. I think I saw the same gun in a strange, boring movie that is about alien and robots killing people in a big ship somewhere on the sea... They blasted everything with those madness.

I can't find a pic because I don't know the name of it.

I think the movie your thinking of is 'Virus' starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Sutherland. However, most of the weapons they used were AKs, RPG-7, etc. since it was a Russian science vessel they were trapped on.

'Deep Rising' was actually about some ancient sea creature taking over a luxury cruise liner and killing everybody onboard (terrible movie btw) but it did have an interesting gun. The experimental "Chinese" rifles they used looked like Calico M900 except they added a gatling front end and topped it off with an ADCO square shooter and flashlight.
