Ultimate Pistol Power Showdown: BLACK gas vs CO2
we all know CO2 kicks harder than green gas... but green gas pistols can also use BLACK gas! furthermore, there are pistols such as the CZ sp-01 Shadow that can use both CO2 and gas mags, thus the internals must be strong enough for black gas at room temperature (i assume)
so, I would like to compare CO2 and BLACK gas (such as Nuprol 4.0): 1) which kicks harder at room temperature? 2) which has a higher fps? 3) which is better in the winter? 4) which is cheaper in the long run? 5) if you were about to buy a pistol that had both CO2 and gas mags, which would you buy and why? thanks a lot all |

Pretty sure co2 beats black gas in all aspects. The only reason to get gas is because of availability and field rules. A lot of places ban co2. But a well made gas gun with black would likely not shoot itself to pieces like a co2 would.

from what i can find online
co2 and black gas should kick the same, co2 might have an edge c02 is higher fps black is only like 25 over green/propane co2 and black both have the same performance in winter at a normal rate of fire and one mag load. going by TA prices a can of black is 37.95 for 10.5oz and co2 is 36.99 for 40. now oz is weight and so is gram so 10.5 oz is 300 grams where 40x12 is 480. co2 is cheaper i went with the kjw co2/gas m9 and use gas because a pistol is my MED gun and i dont want to hurt someone by firing hot at close range.
