Republic of Korea (South)
ROK Army impression I've started work on. Probably will remain (Yebigun 5 points) for the time being until I source a K2. M16A1s are still issued to Reserves and still see some 2nd line service. (Normally the M203 variant) Camo pattern is the standard Granite B (Army Navy) Army Rangers and Army SF use a Korean Marpat variant, Marines use the Digital Wave pattern. Personal body amour is strictly controlled by the Government and in short supply. Pretty much unobtainable at this point , even the older Korean woodland stuff is in active service. I've seen some interesting looking vest and Flak jacket covers but nothing that has tickled my fancy. Modern plate carriers in ROKPAT is available on the open market. Helmet is the older Ballistic Nylon M1 style helmet. (Usually mistaken for steel pot) Webbing is digital print version of American M1956 although Khaki M1956 gear is still common for non front line troops. I still have to order the Suspenders and belt off Gmarket. K1 gasmask bag, K7 Bayonet and First aid pouches will be purchased at a later date. Interesting side note the IFF band says Myeolgong (Communist eradication) More to come in the future. Last edited by Kingsix; October 11th, 2016 at 06:49.. |
