Need some helmet advice
So I didnt want to run a helmet but got pegged point blank in the head 2 days ago and still have a minor headache.
All i had was a baseball cap on but realise now the importance of helmets. I have a larger than average sized head. Was looking for something not too expensive(50$ish?) that if i choose to get one of those fancy tactical vests in the future it will fit with it. Was hoping for a couple velcro pieces for patches on it and definately have it lightweight and fairly low profile. Basically I dont have any clue what i need for a helmet that isnt too crazy (no NVG or go pro needed) but also may be usable if i get a (BDU?) fancy tactical vest later. I live in mississauga so likely would shop at mach1 or torontoairsoft (airsoft depot?) I appreciate any and all comments, thanks! |

I got an Emerson bump type helmet that I really like. Sturdy enough to protect your heard but light enough to be comfortable.
My advice is to go to a store and try some on. Any of the three you mentioned are pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a fairly large melon so my advise is to go in and try out what they have in stock. You can find helmets for sale all over the place but you are slightly off size it won't fit right without some modding.

Emerson deluxe version helmet in L/XL. At $50 you'll need to find it used in the classifieds.

No need to put anything on it. Most of the things that go on helmets serve a purpose, ie. nods, counterweight, strobe, all of which are expensive. No need to start sticking crap on your brain bucket that isn't going to do anything other than add weight
