Looking for group in Ontario

Hi guys,

I'd really like to get into WWII reenactment and happen to live in Ontario, in the Ottawa area. I was hoping to find groups that reproduced Canadian regiments, but it looks like there aren't any. Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders is the regiment I'm most interested in, and was wondering what my options are.

I have no reenactment experience, so I'm not sure that starting a group on my own would be the best thing to do (although it seems this area needs one badly).

I would also be interested a German unit from the Eastern Front.

For those who might be interested in recruitment, I'm 33, in good physical shape, and a history nut who would be dedicated to getting this accurate.

Hi Pete

I encourage you to go here:

www.ontarioairsoftwwiireenactors.com/

We have a big event coming up in about a month called operation woodsman

http://www.eventzilla.net/web/event?eventid=2139003954

We do airsoft tacticals, we have members that do blank fire tacticals as well, and many public living history events. You can start your own unit if you like, or join an existing one. We have members (such as myself) who do 1 Can para. Feel free to shoot me any questions either here or on our boards.

Sign up for it than. The organizer has a meal plan worked out using period German recipes for meals, but it is open to anyone who signs up ahead of time. I believe it is $40 for the weekends meals. I had one last year and it was great. I will not be making it to this year but I strongly encourage you to get out there.

Ok, will do...but I'm not a member of a group yet.

The Ontario WWII Reenactor group, which seems very active, doesn't have a very updated website and the links to their units don't work. The 5. Fallschirmjager seems very well organized, and the 6th and 101st Airborne seem to have a lot of members, but with the others it's difficult to find more information.

BTW, is there any source out there that sells a Lee Enfield no 4 airsoft rifle?

What groups are there in the area in which this event is being held?

There is also the 9th SS, sitting at ~11 members
More info can be had here:

Sadly, no source yet for a No.4 in the airsoft world.

I sent you a message. Be sure to get on the facebook group I linked to you, you can meet the various units there and find the one for you. It's not the easiest thing in the world to do a completely different era accurately, but we have lots of experience and are very keen to help new guys in any way we can.

I did find this Lee Enfield no. 4 at Shoot and Scoot. They also have a kit if you want to go that rout. I dont know much about the company or if they are reliable. I have never ordered there. I am waiting for them to come out with their resin moulded G43 reciever so I can finish my project. Supposed to have it out soon. They seem to have alot of British gear as well.

Im located in Spencerville (host Woodsman) and plan on starting a Heer Infantry Unit this winter, if your interested in doing German. Im still researching to find a suitable unit, but since I do a cavalry impression it will most likely be an unit that spent time on eastern front.
