TBD Airsoft, Winnipeg First Impressions
Hey there, just wanted to get the word out about a new shop that just opened up in Winnipeg. Located in on Gertrude St right off Donald is TBD Airsoft. I had the pleasure of stopping by there today and got a look through the initial set-up of their shop (They've been open for about a week so far and are still setting things up.) The staff were super friendly and more than willing to help out and let you handle whatever you wanted to see. They had quite an impressive selection of guns in stock as well as some of the essentials any airsoft player would require (Guns, Masks, Face protection and even a small assortment of gear.) I'd strongly recommend taking a look at their website, or if you're local drop in to take a look. They're still in the first stages of setting up their retail space, but they're certainly on the right track! |

They've really come a long way. I don't know how long they've been active but from an apartment showroom to retail is huge. Great guys and tons of knowledge between them. They sponsor our local team with loaners and have great prices. I arrived and my items were out of stock they gave me a step up of both. Top notch service and selection

Old thread -
Ordered a pump shotgun from them, on the Wednesday. Didn't get any information from them. Called Monday. Stated shotgun was broken (Told them to test it before hand). Called them the Tuesday because no reply yet. Offered me to fix it or refund. I choose the refund. Had to call 3 times to ask when they were going to refund me. -- Bit slow, but they were nice on the phone. Only gripe is the shotgun I placed immediately went back up for sale.. so someone will be buying a broken shotgun, unless it's "fixed" --- |

TBD on a good day is a two man operation, most of the time its just one guy(Ben).
he has to answer phones, help costumers and deal with inventory all day loan wolf style. there are always people at the store making it hard to do all things at once. the person that does repairs and such is questionable at best, I dont think he even works there or is on his pay role. Not trying to defend TBD just wanted to shed some light on what goes on there. Ben is a good friend and does his best with whats in front him. |

Rhetorical question.
If you had a "friend" with an "xxxsoft store" and there was a problem with let's say a "xxxxgun" that was being discussed on for sake of argument a "forum". Would telling him about the problem be helpful or harmful? Because honestly the review of the store as it stands is not positive. If you help him turn things around then that's what friends do. If you leave him in ignorance of the situation then that sounds more like an enemy thing.

yes i agree but there are more than just him who own the store. to be honest i don't know who does all the advertising and site maintenance.
I have known Ben or a year or so now and that subject has never been talked about. but nun the less you are correct it would only be in the good of his store and community to let him know whats going on. I did not make a post to stir up any argument I just wanted to put in my two cents Quote:

I ordered from TBD Airsoft on April 10, bought a D-Boys buffer tube and 5.11 TACLITE 6" Boots in Coyote and I received my items on April 17. The price of the 5.11s were comparable with those south of the border, and it's hard to find dealers here in Canada that have what you're looking for in your size, I got mine in Size 12 and I couldn't be happier. Best boots I've ever purchased.
When I emailed the guys at TBD Airsoft, they were quick to send a reply and were quite helpful and very friendly. They accidentally sent me the wrong tracking number but sent me the right one before I even noticed! Overall, the experience was good and I will definitely be giving them my business in the future!
