Uhm, those aren't G3 AOR-1 combats. G3 has patterned knee material and there are two strips of Velcro instead of a whole patch. Another reason those aren't legit Crye G3 is that Crye never made G3 sets in AOR-1 because their Navy contract was cancelled a few years ago.
Also on an OP like that where the US wasn't even supposed to be in Pakistan, they wouldn't have worn massive American flags on their chest. Sordins could/should be changed to Comtac 3's. On that OP, quad NODs would've been used due to them not really caring about battery life since they weren't planning on being on the ground longer than 2-3 hours (apparently the approximate battery life on GP NVG-18's). DG has Maritime ballistic lids and there pics of that pre raid. Other than that just minor things like cutting the bolt cutters. |

I wonder if any gearwhores out there have managed to get their hands on a Ops Core maritime cut in AOR1.
Nice kit BTW. You should coolguy tape those handles in desert dig tape, if you dont cut them off that is. Just a suggestion, Ive seen it in multiple photos. Last edited by nstahl.19; May 7th, 2013 at 23:25.. |

Thanks. I have been listening to all the good suggestions and will take some updated photos in a week or two when I get all the new pieces in. The cutters will be shortened and my 416 will be painted as well. While I would absolutely love to have a maritime cut ops-core they are virtually impossible to get so, until a repro version is made I'll just stick to what I have now. @Dingo I'm not too well versed on the differences between Crye's different Gens so you may be correct. They are legitimate Cryes though.

They are Gen 2 Crye, otherwise known as Combat AC. I sold my set this spring and bought the G3.
Gen 1 used spandex for the shirt and the pants were very thick with zippers up the leg sides.

I've heard rumors of an Asian gear replicator getting his hands on a Maritime, but if that's true it'll be a long time before it goes into production. If its not true, then the estimated time for the Maritime's release is about a year plus at least another year for it to be replicated and put into production.
@dongtheimpaler (LOL), if they are legitimate Cryes, then they are G2 NC (AC means Army Custom, NC means Navy Custom). |
