You can see how dead the forum is by the classifieds. Same offerings on there month after month. When I joined a guy from London Ontario Tru Lai was selling guns out of his house. It was still hard to get them in the country back then.

Damn, those were the days eh?

Coming here feels like coming to the old bar you used to love, that used to be a bumpin' happenin' place. Now there's cobwebs on the tables and seats, the bars dimly lit and theres one or two others that still show up for the same reasons you probably still do.

Nostalgia.

Its been a while since I checked in on ASC. It sure has slowed down since the days when I first joined back on 2001. Many memories have been etched into my brain from This site and the people who I have met over the years.

lt_poncho - Still remember shooting you with my TM G17 HGHU springer in Brockville at the Salamanders field. I think you were my first kill with that gun. I believe that was also the day that there was some shenanigans in the big pit with a red car. Nothing like capturing the flag and jumping into the car to drive it back and having everyone (friendly or enemy) shooting at the car.

I still remember looking at Tru's post daily to see what new guns he was selling. It truly was a different time back then (sweet sweet pun intended).

Salamander Army - Thanks for taking me under your wing and showing me the wonderful airsoft community. From my first game in Rigaud QC and the many games at the Salamander Field in summer and winter in the Big Pit or the Machine planted forest. Watching Just Bob randomly yelling "hey you in the woods surrender" and 3 people end up wandering out of the woods and surrender. To which he commented on later saying he thought there was only 1.

My first 24 hour big game, Capital Thunder 1, just outside of Ottawa.

Spleen, Crispin, Adrian, Just Bob, Porkchop, Damon and Jakster and everyone else I have had the pleasure of meeting, interacting with or playing games with, it was a honor playing with all of you.

That was a beautiful post mongo. I miss the days of all the great deals in the classifieds and checking constantly to see what my next project would be.
