try going paintballing and see how long you can play on $45
Not to beat a dead horse becasue this point was well over done in the now locked AAR but is is soo true (on the cost vs playing paintball)and going through 1000 bbs in a night is easy if you use grenades. Also weeknight games (wednesdays/Thursdays) are also cheaper at UA but regardless if you are crying that much about the price and condition of a field in or around the GTA (where the costs of everything is higher then way out in the sticks) you may need to reconsider playing or start calling around for one that will pay you to play there (if you find one let me know).

Dont worry about the lack of games being posted, yes by this time last year there was a constant stream of weekend games being posted for skirms, while this year it seems to be only milsim planned in advance games. The answer to this mind boggling question so to why that is can easily be solved by looking out your window.

Last year by the end of March everyone was in shorts untill late October there were games posted everywhere. This year, halfway through May it has SNOWED yet again. Granted none of it really stuck to the ground and it was more of a mixture of rain with a little snow and some ice pellets, but I would surmise that the lack of meteorological cooperation with seasonal average temperatures has a direct relationship to the majority pf game host's assement of player flake ratios, and therefore do not yet see hosting as feesible unless they are catering to players who will show up regardless.

If i play 4 to 6 times a month, and pay 25$ per play at a outdoor field, then i pay my gas to get out wherever, then i buy bb's and propane, i'm looking at 100$ excluding gas, bb's n propane, if you play 6 times, you are up at 150$ excluding that stuff. I live very close to UA so its not hard for me to get there. it is totally justifiable to pay 150 a month for my membership and i enjoy it thoroughly, no games getting cancelled by rain or snow, my gas guns run fine in the temperature controlled environment and its paint free with improvements constantly being added. well worth the money IMHO
i didnt even know there was a membership, thats awesome. As soon as my new gun gets in im going to pick this up

UA is your best bet in toronto. CQB is the only paintball place I will play in. Its cleaner then other places ive been to and I like the layout. Like they said above it does help to have a crap set of gear that you dont mind getting shit on.

There are some invite only fields around that are very nice. But to get to them you first must show your not an asshat to get an invite. As with most of us when we started you have to play in the shit to find the good.

Happy hunting.

No one mentions TTAC3?

Keep your eyes pealed in the Ontario section, we have a game at least once a month.

Probaby because its a small place that's not suited for much beyond practicing room clearing or for small groups who'd enjoy playing in a hallway or storage/scrap warehouse..... oh wait they do.

On topic: while I'm no fan of paint, it washed out easy and doesn't damage your gear. The others are also correct in regards to ultimate, its pricey but a good field if you like indoor games.

OP asked for games around Ontario that are regularly run, now get your panties out of your ears and actually go to games or quit typing.

.
Most players who try it, like it.. the ones who lack skill, or talk a better game than they play.. generally don't.

It's not for everyone, but the best things rarely are.

Shortly: UA rocks

Bangs the head...

Yes, Ultimate Airsoft rocks. I spend whole winter there and will do it next season again. They have a great layout, constantly adjusting.

Dont compare CQB games with outside staff. Any game outside I went, I spent about 2 hours fighting and 6 hours waiting for lunch, for reload, for late gamers, etc. In UA it is non-stop action, I usually spent 6 hours fighting or more. And I use less ammo then outside, semi-auto let me spent 1K BB per day, outside I can go to 2K full auto. (MILs are different story)

I will try to talk to UA staff, maybe they will permit other BBs for grenades, it is quite expensive to blow 100 BBs per explosion ( a dollar !).

If Ultimate Airsoft is too expensive for you, I think you need to reconsider Airsoft to begin with. Airsoft itself is pretty expensive. Frankly, we're lucky to have yte/Sam and his insanely cheap entry fee to the whitby field
