High Speed Gear Inc Denali and Warlord

I know that there is a review of both of these Chest Rigs. I would like to know for sure, if these Rigs can fit 2 G36 mags in the mag poches. I know that the Denali has a ton of other pouches, and should be able to fit even more mags. I think that these are triple mag pouches and can fit 2 M14 mags, which should be the same as 2 G36 mags. Thanks for any help.

I just stuck 2 of my HK SL-8 mags into a few of the HSGI pouches and there is no problem fitting them.

3 AR mags or 2 M14 mags is what they will hold.

G36 mags will fit in both the Denali and warlord with no issues
With the Denali, you can have them clipped together
The warlord, unclipped works better

If I were to use the Denali for nothing more than a ammunition rig, how many do you think I could get in there? I believe just using the ammo pouches on the Denali, it would hold 10 G36 mags. Thank you for your help. You guys up north are good guys, and know your Gear, thanks again.

The Denali is suppose to be able to hold 12 mags in total, but is there a specific reason that you want to buy the Denali? It's quite an expensive peice of kit, and if you only wanted to carry 10 mags around with you, there are much cheaper alternatives that you can consider.

10? linked you would most likely get 2 per pouch
tabs cut off maybe 3 a pouch, and thats a big maybe.
the zippered off waist pack on the bottom can fit 1 in each pouch
for sure.
you can fit more in the utils as well, but you were talking mag pouches only.....

You should probably listen to Batman, since I've never actually used this rig, I was only quoting info from the OPT website

I guess I just wanted to have a really cool Chest Rig that could hold the most G36 mags any way possible. I don't mind using the utility pouches as mag storage

the Denali is a nice rig and holds a tonne.
most people don't like the bulk of it though.
I have had two of them and keep going back for more.
Im actually looking at having a custom one made now....

If you are just looking for a rig that will hold alot of mags, I would go modular and build yourself something that would possibly work better.

If you want something that will hold alot of mags go with the Wee or Wasatch and then just add more mag pouches. A couple buddies getting ready for overseas have theirs loaded up with 14 on the front and 4 on the back and that's just AR mags

The other option for just a chest rig is the Warlord V-3 and add two mag pouches to the MOLLE on the sides. (I'll have to check and see if it would take a double or single mag pouch)

This set up would give you 12 to 16 mags depending on if the single or double mag pouch would fit, and eliminate some of the bulk of the Denali or Silverthrone.

The V-1 to V-3 will hold 8 G36 mags without any pouches added.

The V-1 and V-2 have Nalgene pouches on each side where the V-3 has MOLLE on the sides, where you can add more mag pouches. You can add pouches onto the Nalgene pouch however that will get bulky unless your adding a strobe or flashlight pouch.

I have some V-3's coming in on Monday or Tuesday and could tell you then whether the MOLLE will take the the single (holds 2) or double (holds 4) mag pouch.

the version 3 and version 4 side panels have the ability to use a single mag pouch
the Double is too wide for it to fit there.
