M14 bore up kit?
I was looking on Airsoftparts.ca and saw bore up kits for most guns but only a standard modify cylinder set for the M14. No bore up kit
So I'm wondering if anyone makes one? I picked up a UTG M14 (Marui clone) cheap with the intent to basically rebuild the entire mechbox. Kind of a 3D instruction manual. I'm just a little over my head with the V7. Any ideas or recommendations are welcome. So far the list is -Modify Airseal nozzle for M14 -Guarder Enhanced Tappet plate V7 -Guarder Steel Cut Off lever V7 -Modify Bearing spring guide V7 Was thinking of these parts also -Element 200% torque gear set -Motor ... no idea here.. |

There is no bore-up kit because the cylinder is already larger than other AEGs. It comes stock with a fairly long barrel (500mm) and there is really no point on extending it anymore.
I just bought an M14 and as far as I know, only the CYMA is a 100% TM clone. Every other use random V2/3 parts here and there (ranging from gears to spring guide and other parts). If it is a 100% clone, you need M14/V7 gears. The spur (large flat one) is larger on the V7 than other AEGs. |

Close, actually the spur gear is smaller in diameter than the V2/V3 spur gear. Almost all M14's require this spur gear. the others are the same, I think.
Lonex makes nice tightbores cut for the M14's. |

Makes sense... I know regular gears don't fit... must be the painkillers I have to take for the wrist I crapped yesterday...

Thanks for the info on the cylinder Kos-Mos. I had my eye on a 550 mm barrel (the max you can fit in the M14, but I guess a 500 is plenty long..)
Venture, is Lonex the "new" barrels that are available? Like Spike is putting in the RPK? I'd be interested in trying one out before dropping a mint on a prometheus. I'll check on my motor length and see what we can put together for a parts package.. |

TM style m14 motors are shorts (ak, g36 etc) unless it's a G&P dmr .. then it's special
the UTG/AGM/ACM/KART use a mix of V2/3, V7 and their own gearbox parts.... if you change the nozzle and don't change the hop chamber to a TM or G&P (possibly the element? ) it won't feed. the differences are <.5mm but the M14 chambers are really picky the least headache option with a clone M14 is just pickup a complete G&P gearbox , and G&P hop chamber (or TM if you can find it) ... also the clone hop up adjuster screws are too short extending the legth of the tip even just 1mm will make the hop ups actually work ... I've owned 5 or so of the clones from differing makes ... had to do the exact same thing to each one, hop up adjuster mod, rubber and barrel then didn't suck, and fix massive airseal leaks... my kart JAE100 I just went whole hog for the complete G&P insides.
