Welcome to Canada! You found the right place to get yourself straightened away on the airsoft scene.
How do you feel about snow by the way?

What's goggle fog like in the snow? Also, are mesh goggles used widely? I'd never use them myself but what happens if you hit someone in the eye who's using them. Liability problems? |

We don't play in the snow generally. Usually games are moved to indoor venues or we do other things (snowboarding, or whatever). BUT occasionally there are some outdoor winter games but due to extra stresses placed on internals in sub zero weather it's mostly avoided.
As for mesh goggles, a lot of places don't allow them due to potential liability issues. Mesh face mask is fine but depends on if the field requires paintball approved goggles (since we generally play at paintball venues) but there are sometimes games at private or airsoft exclusive fields and you can wear sealed ballistics or ballistic glasses (depending on who's hosting and what their rules are).
