Cannot Remove Collapsable Stock
I have a SIG 556 Shorty which come with the King Arms Tactical Battery Stock (which is a regular looking collapsable stock with room for a custom battery).
I've played with these kind of stocks before, and all I've ever had to do was pull the locking pin and slide the stock right off the buffer tube. I've tried this but cannot. I've pulled my hardest and it's not budging but I don't want to pull too hard in fear of breaking something. Any advice? I'm looking to replace the stock to a modstock so I can accommodate regular (eg: not as hard to find or expensive) batteries.

You really have to pull onthe bolt then pull that stock like you're trying to take off a Bra.

I assume it has the "L" shaped trigger lock (same as most LE/AR collapsible) Instead of pressing on the rear section, pull on it.
It usually will pull the lever far enough to clear the stop at the end. You can also loosen the little set-screw on the adjustment nut and tighten it 3-4 turns. That pulls on the internal pin that locks the stock in place. Then proceed as normal. Don't forget to loosen the nut and replace the set screw after, or the stock won't lock in the positions. |
