Prescription Eyewear

I found one thread from 2006 related to Rx goggles here:

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...glasses+wearer

One of the responses in that thread stated that paintball goggles should be used as ballistic goggles were not allowed on field. This struck me as an odd and arbitrary statement as I require a prescription, and paintball goggles do not (afaik) have the option to drop in an Rx insert.

Are ballistic goggles allowed? Have the "rules" been given more latitude?

(Although I can wear contacts, I do not find them comfortable, and had in the past dropped a lens partway through a game day. Obviously, my preference would be for goggles w/ inserts.)

Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at JT paintball goggles? Quite a few guys have inserts for them.

ballistic goggles are typically not allowed on paintball fields because they are not paintball rated. that means that a paintball could break and easily enter the goggles and get into your eyes.

and this is a better discussion to read: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...oggles+glasses

Thanks. After reading that thread, I'm just going to get refitted for contacts.

... the lesser of two evils...
