They all seem to have a poor design of piston head.

But to clarify, you don't NEED to replace it for the gun to work. They work fine with the current one. They will work BETTER with one that properly seals.

I was also looking into the M4 CQB, it is only $300, but I am worried that this is too cheap for an M4 with rails and such, making me think that the quality will be equal to the REC M4

http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=473

Can anyone confirm the quality of this compared to the G&G M4 Normal version and the G&G M4 REC Version?

just need a fatter O-ring. for like 3 bucks
A new o-ring will sort of solve it... the problem is their piston design with the "twisted" huge porting...

Normally when a piston goes forward air rushes through the ports and expands the O-ring, then does the opposite on the back-stroke...

G&G's piston heads... do not do this.

It's just a much better idea to spend $15 and replace it with a modify piston head.

That is a rec... Look at the gun's name.. "G&G M4 CQB-R REC"

G&G's MP5's are MUCH superior to their M4's though..

Shit sorry, i linked the wrong one lmao, I meant the 416

http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=471

And are even the 'classic' MP5's better than the 'classic' M4's?

Also, is this just the regular M16 with a RIS thrown on to it? http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=455

I also was wondering the samething, I believe with the 300 Price tag, it falls into the rec quality.
Although having a RIS and Rear wired already is a steal.

The M16 ris, is intermedaite.

So I guess the 416 is Rec

If it is 374 consistent fps after the piston head upgrade, what is the regular fps and fluctuation? Does replacing the piston head just increase fps and make the gun more consistent, or does it increase longevity as well (will the current one fail)?

I picked a used one up for $200 bucks the previous owner used it twice, I found the M-4 to be a bit hard on batteries but I think an upgrade to 9.6V will do me wonders, accuracy was good for the rifle being a short little M-4 and having that colapsable stock was handy. The weight of the rifle and mags was non-existant to me, im usually packing arround a full sized M-16 PTW, so being able to run while under fire was a definite bonus. Ill buy another G&G there cheap comparitivly and easy to get as well as light weight and for a guy with neck and back problems there great. Only thing that has me worried about these is that there mostly plastic has any one dropped / slammed or taught them to flip in the air and land muzzle first yet?

2 drawbacks though and yeah they were mentioned the battery wiring and connections suck a little shrink tube and a weatherpack connector or two and it wil be way more resistant to the dust and the damp. Second one is the selector switch, on mine it doesent exactaly click into place it just makes the connection with a little click, then again that may be inexperience with this set up.

Yes, if you are comparing the standard versions.

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread but I was wondering if someone had any info on the build quality (sturdiness) of the G&G PM4 RIS that is curently selling on BuyAirsoft.ca.

https://www.buyairsoft.ca/rifles/ele...g-pm4-ris.html

Please not that I am not a gamer. Rather, I am a collector and I just like the look of this rifle and would like to know if it feels sturdy.

Thanks all

Is this gun at around par with the Tokyo Marui M4A1 v2? Or is this one worse compared to TM?
