madbull propane adapter doesn't work:((

i bought the metal adapter so i could use the reservoir to hold oil and it doesn't even work. I tried loosening the nut underneath but it hasn't worked for me. I ended up buying a AI adapter as a backup, but now its my primary adapter.

Any thoughts on how to fix the adapter?

I did work on my first mag and after that it stopped filling.

Easiest fix is to buy an AI plastic adaptor.

Some will recommend you use the AI one, because it doesn't damage the o-rings or bend the fill pipe. Just be careful, because it isn't as durable as the Madbull since it's made of plastic.

Why not just use the AI one if it works?

I don't see why plastic is such a problem, its not like you're whipping or tossing the propane and adaptor about with a purpose.

the tip is very stiff, i oiled it up and opened it up and oil the spring inside but the tip itself isn't soft to press, you need to press sorta hard for gas to come out but even then it doesn't fill the mag just sprays gas everywhere and freezes everything including the mag up

First, give the big o-ring a long silicon oil bath. Second, when you reassemble it, don't tighten it too much, or the nozzle will not be able to move enough to let the gas pass. I had two of these and I had to give the o-rings regular silicon oil bath or they would just dry really quickly and gas would spray everywhere. The o-ring doesn't like cold at all... and every time you fill a mag the o-ring gets cold, I will let you do the math.

I since bought an AI plastic propane adapter, never had a problem with it, and never used the MadBull again.
