HFC134 vs Green gas on non-metal GBBs
How seriously are experienced airsoft people here about avoiding green gas on stock GBBs that don't have metal slides?
I haven't been to a game yet and is really looking to just collect for now, which means I won't be shooting my guns that much except plinking pop cans in my backyard. I really prefer not to spend almost double the stock gun's value just to upgrade to metal parts if I don't have to. Just how serious is putting green gas through already high quality GBBs like WAs (looking specifically at their 1911s and M9s)? I've heard you can put through about 2000-3000 shots through high quality non-metal GBBs with green gas until you start to notice wobbliness in the slide. Thoughts? |

Propane is fine in most TM's but I'm not sure about WA's tho, maybe ask Safx, he knows a bit about that brand

I thought WAs are supposedly higher quality than TMs. I've heard propane is fine for TM's awesome M1911A1, but definitely not for some of their other less well-built GBBs

Note, WA magna system generate more energy traveling back aka recoil so the higher pressure will increase stress on the pistol. In another words not recommanded, as WA are notoriously for 134a ONLY.

Is it safe to assume that with that system in place in WAs, I can expect the same amount of blowback with WA on 134a as a TM (without the magna system) on green?

From what I understand all new generation Tokyo Marui produced GBBs should run fine right out of the box on green gas/propane.
