Sadly, I was hoping it would not come to this.
On or about march 30th, Bob made a post (which I am currently not able to find with search function) about having access to CYMA Galils.
I inquired, and he noted he had one Galil
*IN STOCK* (this is important, and relevent to later conversations).

But yeah, a new FMU Galil just kinda... sitting here, staring at me dejectedly. You're the second person to ask, but the first person's a dick.
$420 takes it? -

Eventually, we struck a deal for a price of $390 plus $20 shipping.

Happy pre-birthday, btw.

Now, about 2 weeks pass, and I've been watching for my parcel, or at least a pickup slip. After a little while, I PM Bob:

And then....
Nothing
During the next few weeks, it becomes apparent Nathan's had issues with his ex-roommates. I feel bad for him - crappy situation; it's happened to friends of mine. I decided to give the guy a break and wait a little longer.
Forward to May 21st.
I see this post in Nathan's sales ad:

So, I decide I should get in contact with Amos to find out what's going on.

I paid in full for a CYMA Galil that he had in stock back at the end of March. All he had to do is drop it in the mail (assuming he wasn't BSing me and he really did have it in stock).
I sent him my shipping address immediately. At the end of April I pm'd him asking what was going on (I knew he was having issues at the time)...said he lost my postal code.....I sent it again...haven't heard anything since.
For reference, my shipping address is:
XXXXX XXXXXXX
XXX XXXXXXX XX
XXXXXXXX, XX
XXX XXX
Thanks in advance for helping if you can,
James

O really? I paid for a gun that was
*IN STOCK* - remember that part of the conversation - and now it's disappeared into thin air, along with my cash? You don't say?

On the 21st, cbcsteve sent me the following PM:

The PS3 option has me interested. I need a Blu Ray player.

I decide to go with the CYMA AKS74. At least I can sell that, with the idea to post it on ASC, recoup most of my cash, and get the Galil I really wanted.

I had originally ordered a CYMA Galil from him, paid in full with shipping.
When he didn't come up with that, he offered a PS3 or a CYMA AKS74
I chose the AKS74...like...going on 2 months ago....

And so, this is where we stand. I've been waiting 22 weeks (5 months) for an item I paid in full for, which I was told was IN STOCK. Since then, the item has gone missing, and I've been offer other items in compensation - which, out of compassion and understanding of Bob's situation, I have accepted rather than being a dick. In the end, my attempt to let Bob out of the situation has been met with nothing.
So, I wait.
I think I've been exceptionally patient and understanding about his situation. Even my patience wears out. 14 days from today I will file a report with recol.ca.
