AEG Fires randomly or not at all

I recently modded a Firepower F4 Pro to use a large Timaya connector and extended the wirind to fit outside the shroud. I tape my 7.2v 2000mah battery to the shroud connect it and boom it worked no problem.

While I was test shooting it today the gun started not firing. I disconnected the battery and when i reconnected it it shot once or twice.

Now it won't shoot but While I was playing withthe wiring and placement of the battery it randomly fired off 2 shots when I pulled the trigger.

Now Im new to airsoft and this could just be a low battery. Would it give these sort of problems?

I connected the Power charge into the connector and when i pull the trigger it hums so I kno the power is getting to the gearbox.

Sounds like an issue with the connector itself constantly losing connection. Tamiya connectors, especially if old or not properly installed, are very finnicky and lose connection quite easily. Deans is a far better choice; lower resistance, and never loses connection.

Anyways, my bet is that; it keeps losing connection. Try holding the two connectors together while pushing the wiring into both ends, causing a guaranteed connection. I bet it will fire that way.

Yeah a wire had become loose. The Tamiya are very finky. Where can I get some Dean connectors.?

And I just cut the wire and connected a new one. It's pretty easy I could post pictures and steps if you wanted to do it.

You can get Deans connectors off the internet, or at any hobby shop that deals with RC cars. Skycraft Hobbies in Burlington on Plains Rd. carries them.
