Just for clarification, this is a 1x (Or no magnification) Red dot sight right? Not an illuminated magnified scope.

When you're observing a through an RDS, it shouldn't look any different in it's flight path than when you observe it with your naked eye.

Sorry for reviving an old topic, but I'm trying to zero my red dot scope too and I'm having some trouble. From what I read, I should try to zero it in at 60-70 feet (ideally). Should the hop-up come in action just before the 60-70 foot mark? Meaning, is the BB flying upwards when I hit my target at 60 feet?

I used to have a little tool that basically would allow you to fix your hop-up in under 5 shots. Three to check, then you measured the distance between the bull's eye on your target and the three shots. Finally, one shot to check it's good. I can't find that damn sheet anymore!

Anyways, anyone have steps to zeroing in their scopes or is it just gut feeling when you adjust your hop-up?

play with the hop until your BB gets the most stable, even flight path at the furthest distance.

Then zero from there.

Airsoft guns aren't going to have sub MOA accuracy... with a stock gun you'd be lucky to hit a 6" circle 5 times in a row at 100 feet.
